The Origin of DUG & HoldME
Before he became a symbol of deflationary firepower, DUG was just another miner deep underground — not in crypto, but coal. With a shovel in one hand and calluses on both, he spent decades carving value from the earth, knowing that every swing had to mean something.
But time changed, and so did the world.
As fossil fuels faded and paper currency inflated, Dug watched the world chase digital gold. While most were buying hype, Dug was studying hash rates. While others were chasing coins, he was watching how they were made — and more importantly, what made them scarce.
Then came the spark.
In an abandoned mining silo long forgotten by industry, Dug fired up his first S21 Hydro miner. The electricity was loud. The heat was real. And the moment that first block reward hit, Dug didn’t cash out.
He burned.
That single decision became a philosophy. And that philosophy became a token.

A former hydrologist and spreadsheet addict, Cap was brought in by Dug after mapping the airflow of the entire mine using only a notepad and intuition. He optimized rig cooling, power loads, and token burn scheduling. The hardhat stays on – even in the office.

Formerly a forklift operator, Tank moved more coal in a week that most do in a year. Now he moves coins – not to dump them, but to fuel the furnace. He’s the muscle behind the buys, hauling freshly-mined BTC into the burn engine.
BURNIE

Known for wielding a blowtorch, Burnie was recruited by Dug after his DIY mining rig caught fire in his Mom’s garage (and still produced profit). Burnie now oversees all token burns. He doesn’t say much – but when it’s time to burn, his flame does the talking.

I’ve spent my life building machines that push limits—first on the track, then on the battlefield, and now deep underground with DUG.
Since 1998, I’ve worked at the intersection of engineering, performance tech, and manufacturing precision. From designing turbo systems for race teams and partnering with giants like BorgWarner, GM, and Toyota, to engineering defense upgrades for the AM General Hummer and contributing to global targeting systems—I’ve always chased what’s possible.
In 2021, that mission shifted below the surface. I began designing high-efficiency mining operations and refining the infrastructure behind real crypto value. That’s when DUG was born—not just a mascot, but a symbol of grit, utility, and trust in a space that often runs on hype.
I created HoldME to flip the script: real Bitcoin mining, real revenue, and a mechanism that burns—not promises, but supply. With decades of hands-on experience in CNC programming, casting, and full-scale production, I’ve now channeled everything into building a decentralized engine that rewards holders and rewrites what a meme coin can be.
